Harmony Day 2013

Harmony Day logo

“Harmony Day is an annual initiative by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) and coincides with the United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

It is a day of cultural respect, widely celebrated across schools, childcare centres, community groups, churches, businesses and federal, state and local government agencies.

The message of Harmony Day is ‘Everyone Belongs’. In 2013 the theme is: ‘Many Stories – One Australia.’” - Harmony Day website

Harmony Day offers an official time to celebrate diversity. Australians come from many countries around the world; each of us have our own way of contributing to the success and harmony of our country.

See how you can get involved in Harmony Day events on 21 March 2013.
