Senior Occupational Rehabilitation & Business Development Consultant - Canberra - ACT

The purpose of the Senior Occupational Rehabilitation & Business Development Consultant role is to deliver occupational rehabilitation services and to develop and source new business opportunities for WISE Occupational Rehabilitation.

You will be a home-based consultant, working autonomously, however there will be rooms available for your use on an as needed basis. You will be provided with a laptop, mobile phone and a fully maintained vehicle. You will have business development responsibilities with associated decreased billable targets.

It is imperative that you have at least 2 years’ experience in providing occupational rehabilitation services, with experience in business development in rehabilitation or related services. Your highly developed communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders will be key to your success in this role.

Essential Criteria

- Experience in identifying return to work barriers and designing programs that assist injured employees return to the workforce

- Previous experience in some or all of the following: conducting Functional Capacity Assessments, Workplace Assessments, Activities of Daily Living and Vocational Assessments

 - Advanced written skills and proven competency in report writing

- Highly organised with the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently

- Qualifications in Occupational Therapy / Physiotherapy / Allied Health / Psychology / Rehabilitation Counselling

- Exceptional communication skills to liaise with insurers, medical practitioners, employers and workers

- Demonstrated understanding of relevant workers compensation and rehabilitation legislation

- Business acumen

- Strong relationship building ability including the capacity to develop new business
