On Monday 17 January, WISE Employment hosted two delegations from China at our Head Office in North Melbourne.
Organised through the Australia-China International Association and the Australia/China Technology and Economic Exchange Center, the purpose of the visit was to talk about Australian practices and standards in providing job searching and Government assistance to job seekers.
WISE Employment is one of Australia’s leading specialist employment services and was thrilled to host the delegations.
“To think that Australia is seen as a benchmark for employment services practices in Asia-Pacific is very exciting,” said John Bateup. “We have previously hosted delegations from China and were honored to have been asked again.”
The first delegation included representatives from the Department of Human Resources and Social Security; General Employment and Business Service Bureau; Department of Finance and the County Labour Employment Service Bureau from the Ningxia Hui Region.
The second delegation included representatives from the Commission Office of Public Sector Reform in Beijing, representing governmental departments and state-owned enterprises.
“Key WISE Employment staff facilitated the session, which focused on employment services funding, training requirements and best industry practice and standards,” said Mr Bateup.
Both delegations were interested in how employment services agencies in Australia help young graduates to access training programs, what pathways are available to them and what services are provided to assist young graduates in finding jobs.
