WISE Employment Partnerships

As a part of the new Job Services Australia contract, WISE Employment has partnered with complementary organisations to offer better, more tailored services to our job seekers, employers and clients.

WISE Employment works with a range of community organisations, government agencies, local industry, commerce and training groups who are experts at what they do.

The Australian Education Industry Centre Inc. (AEIC) will be delivering the Work Experience Phase (including Work Experience Activities) to a portion of eligible job seekers throughout Melbourne and Sydney;

Conversation Volunteers Australia (CVA) will provide Work Experience Activities (Green Corp projects) for eligible job seekers in the East of Melbourne and Outer West of Sydney; and

Relationships Australia Northern Territory (RA-NT) will be delivering Stream 4 services for job seekers in the Darwin ESA.

Through these partnerships WISE Employment can better service our clients and job seekers by providing improved training, support and employment services.

Partnerships in Action

Clients from WISE Employment Richmond recently finished the first training course with our new partner organisation Australian Education Industry Centre (AEIC).

Nine job seekers completed the three week hospitality course at The Bus Stop Café in Box Hill, an AEIC training centre.

Sandra Ainsworth from WISE Employment and Cath Collopy from AEIC designed the ‘Food and Beverage Lite’ course which covered areas including, basic cooking methods, food service and health and safety.

Each participant received a Safe Food Handling Certificate, First Aid Level 1 and Barista Certificate upon completion. The course has given the participants a taste of life in the hospitality industry and some are now hoping to complete further training to find work in the industry.

Caption Richmond managers and consultants were treated to a lunch prepared by the clients as a part of their graduation ceremony
