Supporting the Victorian Bushfire Appeal
WISE Employment offers its support to all members of the community who have been affected by the Victorian bushfires.
In addition to the WISE Board’s commitment of $10,000 to assist communities affected by the bushfire, WISE has offered support to other organisations and individuals working with the victims:
• The Lort Smith Animal Hospital in North Melbourne are working with local vets, as well as State emergency services to provide aid and assistance to animals injured in the fires. WISE has offered the Hospital the use of two fully expensed vans to move injured animals from the fire affected areas into North Melbourne and has initiated a pet food drive to provide food for animals which have been injured or are homeless as a result of the bushfires.
• WISE is offering four of its company vehicles, for up to a month, to families who have lost their vehicles in the bushfires.
• Staff members from Clean Force Property Services, a division of WISE Employment, have been volunteering their time to clean a properties owned by Berry Street to be used as relief accommodation.
In addition, members of staff have donated over $6,000 and other goods to the relief effort through various fund-raising initiatives.
