Personal Support Program
The Personal Support Program assists people on income support to overcome difficult personal circumstances that are barriers to social, vocational and economic stability. Through a one-on-one relationship with a Personal Support worker, participants receive support through guidance and counselling, referral to other services, advocacy and practical support. The two year program is Centrelink approved and does not affect income support payments. The program provides a bridge between short-term crisis support and employment assistance programs like Job Network.

As a Participant
As a participant, you will be supported in a way that is specific to your needs. We do not operate on a “one size fits all” basis. While employment is the ultimate goal, recognition is given to other non-economic outcomes such as stable accommodation, improved social and family relationships and increased self esteem.
Program participants are referred via Centrelink, who make an assessment of the client’s circumstances to determine suitability.
WISE Employment has been offering the Personal Support Program since 2000, which is now available from two locations in Broadmeadows and Frankston.
