Text version of ‘Brunswick Business Services’ video

Text: WISE Employment works with Brunswick Business Services to help people with disability find employment.

Text: Brunswick Business Services provides a range of services to organisations; including pick packing, packaging and labelling.

Text: Ronnie, Tanya and Marica tell us about finding work at Brunswick Business Services through WISE Employment.

Ronnie Moore: My name is Ronnie Moore. I suffer from bipolar. I have arthritis and osteoarthritis in my leg, that's why I can't do a full time job. That's why I've come to WISE disability employment agency.

Tanya Daws: I ended up coming thanks to a referral from Centrelink. I ended up being referred to WISE. I can't find fault with WISE

Marica Barbic: I ended up finding an advertisement in the newspaper, the Northcote Leader. It said WISE employment and I knew where it was so I just went up there and I met Christine and she went through all the procedures and all that. Then I talked to her about what kind of work I wanted.

Text: Their WISE consultant Christine offers them support and help with employment.

Ronnie Moore: She's not only got me working and everything else, she's like a new friend. She's someone I can confide in and everything else, so she is very good.

Text: What difficulties did you face when looking for work before you came to WISE Employment?

Ronnie Moore: I was with quite a few other employment agencies and I couldn't get jobs. So I have been unemployed for about seven years. I've been on a disability support pension for seven or eight years.

Marica Barbic: There's just too many people and you just feel like you don't have a chance to get a job

Text: How has finding work changed your life?

Ronnie Moore: Just atmosphere and the work itself. And the people around, rather than sitting at home talking to the television or the radio you've got somebody to talk to during the day. So it all counts that way too

Marica Barbic: It is enjoyable because I get out for four hours otherwise I would be at home for four hours or watching something else for four hours and it's just a lot better for me to be doing something than to be at home for that long

Tanya Daws: It boosts my confidence a little bit. Thanks to finding this job here at Brunswick I feel like I'm capable of anything to be honest.

Text: Ronnie, Tanya and Marica continue to enjoy their work at Brunswick Business Services, thanks to WISE Employment.
