Seeds of Affinity Project
The Seeds of Affinity project was initiated in 2006 and supports female offenders to produce and sell a range of bath products, including soaps and shampoos through a social enterprise model. Project participants are from the Port Adelaide Prison and have uniquely complex barriers to employment. The project incorporates peer leadership training for participants through Relationships Australia South Australia and work placements.

In 2009, WISE sponsored the Seeds of Affinity project, supporting the establishment and sustainability of the business through the development of a business plan, marketing plan and materials and capability for online web based marketing and e-commerce for sales. Funds generated from the sale of goods will be returned to the project and eventually to Seeds of Affinity Inc, a future planned not-for-profit entity.
